AFM

International PhD School on
The School is aimed on providing theoretical background and “hands-on” experience in applications of SPM in Life Sciences, Soft Matter and Nanofabrication. The School will offer
lectures and training by prominent scientists. The SPM equipment and SPM training will be provided by NT-MDT Europe BV.
Tentative range of topics:
1. Purification, deposition and imaging of biological molecules, viruses and bacteria.
2. Design and imaging of DNA origami.
3. Application of EFM and Kelvin Probe Microscopy in Life Science, Soft Matter and Nanofabrication
4. Real-time AFM scanning
5. Structure and imaging of block-copolymers and lipid layers
6. Surface modification with monolayers for AFM and STM imaging.
